Now we have proved it.""We tested our underpants fan system with 20 men who had reduced sperm quality. They wore them every night for 12 weeks."A battery-powered fan is clipped on to a belt around the waist. This pumps air into tubes which lead to the groin. Nozzles then direct the airflow.Straps attached to the belt go around the legs like a climbing belt, keeping the tubes and nozzles in place.While the rest of the body is unaffected by the equipment, the crotch is chilled to at least one degree Centigrade below normal."It works," says Dr Jung. "Not only is the amount of sperm increased but it is faster-moving too. And that adds up to more chance of fathering a child."He says men don't need to wear the fan at night: "In order to reduce night-time temperatures it is enough for many men to sleep without any underpants on at all," he says.
