WORLD NEWS: Researcher's Measure Female Arousal Watching Porn Films US psychologists have paid women to watch porn films so they can measure how aroused they get.Professor Michael Bailey and Meredith Chivers measured straight women's reactions to straight and lesbian porn. Northwestern University students watched porn clips with a probe inserted in their vaginas which recorded their sexual arousal.The 29 female students were paid £53 ($75) each. So far the findings reveal women are aroused by both straight and lesbian sex.Last year the researchers carried out a similar study on Chicago-area men.They found straight men generally weren't aroused by gay sex and gay men generally weren't aroused by straight sex."It appears that women, regardless of sexual orientation, respond to everything," Prof Bailey told the Daily North Western.Ms Chivers adds: "The women who did participate in the study found it very interesting and important research because so little is known about women's sexual arousal patterns."
