Thanks, Jack WORLD NEWS: Men Fancy Women Who Wear Glasses Nearly nine out of 10 of men think women who wear glasses are desirable, according to a new survey. However, the same figure (85%) told the poll they would chat up women regardless of whether they were wearing glasses or not. Jennifer Aniston was the most popular spec wearer with men in the south, followed by Sophia Loren and singer Anastacia, while men in Scotland opted for Michelle Pfeiffer and northerners chose Demi Moore. Chris Micklethwaite, 31, from Leeds, said: "There's nothing sexier than a girl with big brown eyes and with long thick lashes. "Spectacles definitely make a woman look more intelligent and that tends to make her look sexier too." The survey, commissioned by Specsavers Opticians, asked more than 100 men - including builders, office workers, taxi drivers and police officers - how they rated the sex appeal of women wearing glasses. Forty-five percent thought glasses made a woman look sexy while 28% said women wearing specs looked more intelligent than those without. Mike White, store director from Specsavers Opticians said: "These results suggest that ladies should reach for their varifocals before skimpy underwear to guarantee men falling at their feet." Stephen Parsons, an office worker in Manchester, added: "It is not just the glasses, but the face that's under them, and the figure that goes with the face."
