Karl-Friedrich Lentze, who's 54, has expressed the wish in his will. He says he wants a simple coffin, but doesn't want to be alone in it. Mr Lentze applied for permission to the cemeteries department in Schwerin where he was born. Express newspaper reports he sent a letter arguing: "Today, many things that used to be unthinkable have become accepted." Mr Lentze, from Bonn, has been granted general permission to be buried with the doll but there is a restriction on the type of material used. For environmental reasons, it has to be made entirely of latex. "Latex has got an awful smell to it," he said. "Fortunately, I won't be in a position to notice any more."
