WORLD NEWS: Famous former porn actress dies of crash injuries Linda Boreman, who starred as Linda Lovelace in the 1972 pornographic film Deep Throat, died Monday from injuries she received in a Douglas County car crash earlier this month. Boreman, 53, was injured April 3 near Highlands Ranch and taken to Denver Health Medical Center. She was taken off life support and died about 3 p.m. Monday, said her daughter, Lindsay Marchiano. "I want her to be remembered not as L.L., but as Linda Boreman, as herself," she said. The April 3 crash happened about 10 a.m. when Boreman's Kia Sportage veered off the right side of eastbound C-470 between South University Boulevard and South Quebec Street. Her Kia hit a mile-marker post, then spun and rolled twice, throwing Boreman from the vehicle. She was not wearing a seat belt. Colorado State Patrol investigators have not determined what caused the crash, but do not suspect alcohol or drugs were involved. Boreman moved to Arapahoe County with her two children and then-husband Larry Marchiano in 1990. The two divorced in 1996 after a 22-year marriage. "Everyone knew her as someone else, but we knew her as Mom and as Linda," Larry Marchiano said. "We divorced five years ago, but she was still my best friend." Boreman met her first husband, Chuck Traynor, in 1970 when she was 20. Boreman claimed Traynor forced her into pornography at gunpoint. In a 1997 interview with the Rocky Mountain News, she said Traynor was paid $1,250 for Deep Throat and that she received nothing. The film, the most profitable pornographic film of all time, grossed a reported $600 million. After her move to Colorado, Boreman began to lecture against pornography. Lindsay Marchiano said despite her mom's anti-porn sentiment, she had accepted the impact Deep Throat made on her life. "That was part of her life," Lindsay Marchiano said. "She decided, 'Why dwell on it; if I can make money on it, why not?' " Boreman is survived by her father, John Boreman; her daughter, Lindsay Marchiano, 21; her son, Dominic, 25; a sister, Barbara; and three grandchildren. Brian Erwin, 37, a family friend, said Boreman's family was all she really cared about. "She was a genuine person," Erwin said. "She was about a hell of a lot more than what the movie was about," TODAY'S LAME JOKE: Old Man At The Doctor's Office An old man goes to the doctor for his yearly physical, his wife tagging along.
