Britons believe prostitution should be legalised
Most Britons believe prostitution should be legalised, according to a poll. 60% of those questioned were in favour and researchers also found almost 25% said gay sex should be made illegal. The study found the Welsh to be the most promiscuous in the UK, having 30% more sexual partners (13) than the average (10). The Scots were the least faithful with more than one in three in a long-term relationship admitting to having had at least one affair. Londoners were the most faithful with only 7% having ever cheated on their partner. Nearly a third (31%) said they had had sex with a colleague, while half of those had done it at their workplace. And 5% of those questioned admitted smuggling someone who was not a fellow employee into the office for a secret liaison. Almost one in three Scots said they would sleep their way to promotion or a pay rise - the average across the UK was 18%. The findings were from an Observer/ICM poll which used a confidential questionnaire in August to quiz 1,027 people aged 16 and above about how they viewed sex in the 21st century. When asked about sexual health, 30% admitted they did not practise safe sex with a new partner and the same was true for 31% who had been tested for HIV.
