Helen Teo and Yeo Loo San changed the venue of their wedding reception after originally booking the Goodwood Park Hotel, in Singapore. But both of them forgot to cancel the booking. They discovered their mistake when the hotel rang them a few days before the wedding to go over all the details. The hotel told them they would have to pay for the dinner anyway as they hadn't given 90 days notice on the cancellation. So the couple have invited 200 elderly people and underprivileged children to the meal instead. Mr Yeo told the Straits Times: "I was a bit unhappy about how inflexible the restaurant was. But this charity dinner makes me feel good about the whole thing. "We're just looking forward to our real wedding dinner now."
