WORLD NEWS: Female prison doctor sacked for sex with inmate Researchers have studied 50 years of Playboy to reach the conclusion models are becoming less curvaceous. The finding comes from Martin Voracek at the University of Vienna and Maryanne Fisher at York University in Canada. According to New Scientist they studied every issue from the first in December 1953 to December 2001. They culled the height, weight and bust measurements accompanying 577 centrefold pictorials and crunched the numbers. They've concluded the idea that the type of female figure that men find most attractive remains constant over time is a myth. They found that the bust and hip size of the models has decreased, although height has increased. Mr Voracek concluded: "This means more recent models have a more skinny and tubular-shaped appearance." He added: "These temporal trends are at odds with claims that centrefolds' body shapes are still more 'hourglass' than 'stick insects' and that the maximally sexually attractive female waist to hip ratio is stable."
