Jack WORLD NEWS: Shoplifter claims she was researching for role as Winona Ryder LOS ANGELES, Monday: A Los Angeles court today heard an accused shoplifter, Rachel Spelling, defend herself by asserting she was researching an upcoming role in a student film. “The film is going to be called Talentless Hack” declared Spelling. “I am going to star in it as Winona Ryder. And a drug-fuelled crime spree is the bare minimum that's required of me to grapple with my character's complex motivations.” “Furthermore, I fully expect you to hand down a boutique punishment like the one Ryder just received in order to complete my artistic odyssey,” she submitted to the court. Spelling stands accused of stealing $4,000 worth of electrical equipment from a private residence. While her infringement stands in stark contrast to Ryder's theft from a clothes store, Spelling maintained that the flimsiness of her excuse was “crucial to capturing the essential Ryder”.
